Lime plastering & rendering in Farnham
Traditional lime finishes for listed buildings, period homes and older properties in Farnham and the surrounding area. We undertake internal lime plastering, external lime rendering and repairs as part of a wider restoration or a specialist finishing job.
Internal plastering and external rendering
An old wall is rarely a perfectly flat surface. Corners, curves and exposed timbers are part of the building’s character. We consider the existing wall, the preparation it needs and the finish you want before agreeing the work.
Our lime work includes internal plaster finishes, external render, local repairs and refurbishment. We can discuss a single room or elevation, or coordinate the lime finishes within a larger building project.
A finish that belongs to the building
The photographed stairwell shows how a lime finish can follow an existing curve while keeping the timber visible. It is an example of the attention we bring to awkward shapes and the junctions between old materials.
For listed and period properties, we work to the agreed specification and relevant approvals. The scope of preparation, repairs and finishing is discussed together so that the quote reflects the condition of the building.
Planning your lime work
Send us photographs of the walls or render, the property location and a short description of the problem or finish you have in mind. Let us know whether the property is listed and whether you already have a specification or approved drawings.
We can then discuss the work, access and timing. If other building work is needed before plastering begins, we can include coordination of those stages in the agreed scope.
