Brickwork restoration

Before, demolition and after.

Here we have a Grade II barn that was altered in the 1970s to become part of the house and was in need of extensive restoration.

The gable end was demolished carefully, keeping as many original bricks as possible. The bricks were cleaned and reused, with reclaimed bricks added where needed. The wall was built using traditional methods, with NHL 3.5 hydraulic lime and locally sourced sand.

Bathroom renovation

Before, during and after.

This was a tricky renovation of a small bathroom in a Grade II listed cottage. The bathroom was in need of a total overhaul.

We ripped out the old bathroom and started from scratch, removing the ceilings to create more headroom and making space under the adjacent staircase for a bigger bath.

We also created a wet room floor, allowing the shower to be used over the bath without a curtain or screen. New lighting and electric underfloor heating were installed too.
